Hotel Villa Carlotta - Florence

Nice comfortable Hotel within walking distance of Florence. Stayed 2 nights here as part of overall touring Holiday in Tuscany. We needed a Hotel near to Florence with car parking facility, and Hotel Villa Carlotta fitted this purpose. Nice friendly staff, clean Hotel with a good breakfast

That you should have left!

The location of the hotel is wonderful. Green, clear. The city center is within walking distance.

Bad soundproofing between rooms.

Very nice villa, excellent & friendly staff, quiet location with easy city access. Easy to park.

Weak hair dryer and our US hair dryer with a converter still blew a fuse.

Skip to the good part!

Expect a charming location with a historical vibe and a pool for cooling off after exploring. The staff is mostly friendly, though service can be hit or miss. Rooms vary significantly in quality-some are dated and may need better maintenance. Breakfast is decent but lacks variety. A bit of a walk to major attractions, but enjoyable.

We booked tastefully decorated and neat room with the walls in the corners and large window, as example. Also, location was peaceful and nice, just 5 minutes walk from Porta Romana. We would be happy to recommend the restaurant just a pleasant stroll away from the hotel, it was simple...

The great locationi and the confortable bed.

The rooms are rather in need for renovation, although nothing suggests works are planned for anytime soon. The villa building still nice (I had stayed at the hotel several years ago) but the rest of the buildings lack charm and in urgent need for refurbishment.

perfect for exploring florence's landmarks and gardens

We enjoyed our stay and loved that we were just a short walk away from the beautiful Boboli Gardens, as well as a lovely 20-minute stroll to the vibrant city center with all its iconic sites, making our weekend explorations so much easier and more enjoyable.

The hotel is near to the city-centre, the breakfast is fine and varied.

The hotel had a misleading advertising issue. Our room was substantially smaller than the pictures showed. The overall cleanliness and maintenance left much to be desired.

Very nice old villa style hotel. Maybe not everything is brand new, but the charm and the grandeur of the place make for a very good experience. Very friendly and helpful staff, availability of bikes, free parking (very exceptional!) and in a nice up-town neighbourhood at a short walk from the city center. To be recommended.

The breakfast is above average and exceptionally nice, and the location is PERFECT not far from Porta Romana and Santo Spirito area and the historic centre and city center of Florence.

The peaceful garden view from our room was a lovely surprise, and the well-stocked breakfast spread set us up for a day of exploring Florence.
